We loved this job from the very beginning. The rural setting and off grid home with all the comforts excited us from the start. MPB are experienced in building home that are “off the beaten track”. The rural settings throw up challenges that you dont get from a subdivision build. With long driveways, big site cuts and sometimes livestock to deal with this was a rewarding build for us. The efficiency of this home is a credit to everyone involved from design through to construction. this family home is more than what can be seen from the surface.
The off grid design incorporates Solar power, Solar hot water, Hydronic hot water, Hydronic subfloor heating, Wood fire, Gas cooktops, Gas instantaneous hot water back up. All this coupled with a design to maximise winter sun and ventilation in summer. Thank you to the Sams.
